Nestled on the southern tip of Canada’s Vancouver Island, Victoria is known for its natural beauty and quality of life with a mild climate (22°C in the summer / 6°C in the winter) and little rain (650mm annually). With a population of about 360,000 people, Greater Victoria has many advantages of a larger metropolitan city while retaining the comfort and safety of a smaller city. Its location puts it in close proximity to Canada’s mainland and the Pacific Northwest of the United States. The island’s great natural beauty is reflected in the region’s many provincial and national parks.
